The Palace was built by the Pisani Ciancio family, an ancient and noble family from France, based in Sicily since the 17th century. The house is a great example of Sicilian eclectic style, especially the salone (the ball room), with its big mirrors and the precious frescos by painter Alessandro Abate.
The Palace is set in the heart of the historical centre of Catania and from its balconies it is possible to see the Opera Theatre “Vincenzo Bellini”, one of the most important in all Italy, dedicated to the Catanese composer.
